Details : Roopkund (Skeleton Lake) is a glacial lake in Uttarakhand state of India famous due to more than five hundred human skeletons found at the edge of a lake. This lake is also called Mystry Lake. The location is uninhabited and is located in Himalaya at an altitude of about 5,029 metres (16,499 feet). A small glacial lake in the lap of Jurighati Dhar is the culmination point of annual Nanda Raj Jat. During the festival people from the villages bring their presiding deity to Roop Kund. Places on the way of this tour are Rishikesh, Lohajung, Didana, Ali Bugyal, Bedni Bugyal, Bhaguabasa, Bhuna, Sitel, Rudrprayag.

Day 01:         Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Meals: Dinner Only


Day 02:         Delhi –Rishikesh

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check in the hotel for overnight stay.


Day 03:         Rishikesh – Lohajung (2,530 m)                         

Start driving to Lohajung via Devprayag, Rudraprayag & Karanprayag. Upon arrival set the camp for the overnight stay.


Day 04:       Lohajung - Debal - Didana

Today we start trekking down into Gyan Ganga Valley initially through Rhododendron & oak forest. Then we follow the river before a climb to Didana.Set the camp on arrival.Overnight stay at tents.


Day 05:        Didana - Ali - Bedni Bugyal (3,345 m)                            

Morning after breakfast drive to Wan which is the last road head point.From here start trek to reach the Bedani Bugyal which is approx 10 -11 km.


Day 06:         Bedani Bugyal – Bagwabasa (4,375 m)            

Morning after breakfast start trek to Bagwabsa which is approax 10 km far from here. The trail continues easily over rolling grassy hills to the meadow at Bagwabasa - 4000m (which means ‘place of flowers’in the local dialect). This is a wonderful camping place with the high peaks of Trisul and Nanda Ghunti becoming more prominent.

6 - 7 hrs, 2-½ hrs steep ascent and then easy gentle sloping downward


Day 07:         Bagwabasa - Roop Kund (4,844 m) – Bagwabasa      

Morning after breakfast start trek to Roop kund which is approax 6-7 km far from here. Situated below the Jurighati Dhar, this beautiful lake is known as 'Mystery Lake' after some human skeletons are found here. After spending some time at Roopkund, return back to Bagwabasa for overnight stay.

2-3 hrs to Roopkund return to Bhagwabasa by lunch time. 5 hrs descent to Bedni Bugyal Level: Moderate-Difficult.


Day 08:         Bagwabasa – Bhuna/Palwala (3,500 m)                      

Morning after breakfast start return trek to Bhuna. From Bagubasa the trail crosses a grassy ridgeline which drops from the southern flanks of Roopkund from where we descend to the village of Bhuna (3500m). Arrive and set the camp for overnight stay.


Day 09:         Bhuna – Setal (2,192 m)                                                   

After breakfast start trek to reach the Setal.The trail now drops down through the village of Kunol into the Nandakini Valley which drains the waters of Roopkund and the Trisul massif. After following the river of the same name we arrive at the village of Setal (2192m). Our campsite for the evening is located just before we reach the village, in a delightful meadow by the river.
Overnight in camp near the village.


Day 10:         Setal – Ghat – Rudraprayag (2,936 m)             


Morning after breakfast straigt drive to Rudraprayag via Ghat. Up on arrival check-in at hotel for overnight stay.


Day 11:        Rudraprayag – Rishikesh -                                               

Morning after breakfast drive down to Rishikesh via Devprayag.Where Bhagirathi meets with Alaknanda and known as Ganga. Later on proceed to Haridwar for the onward destination.


Day 12:         Rishikesh – Delhi                                                    

Morning after breakfast proceeds for Delhi. After arrival check- in to hotel for overnight stay


Day 13:           Depart Delhi                                                            

After breakfast went to IMF office for some formalities and rest of day free. Later in the day  Departure transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.


Prices Include:

  • Accommodation for applicable nights on twin share basis in the mentioned hotels and similar in cities and twin sharing accommodation in hotel, state guest houses/ jungle lodge  tented camp as applicable to program during the trek.
  •  All meals as per above mentioned in the itinerary
  • Transportation as listed in the itinerary by A.C Innova or similar during arrival departure and city tours and non A. jeep/ minivan/ deluxe coach/ car with guide as per the itinerary in hills and mountain areas.
  • Tented accommodation, meals (veg & non veg), and complete camping and kitchen equipment while on trek. It is recommended that the clients bring their won sleeping bags.
  • Portergae of members personal luggage during trek till 10 Kgs
  • Services of experienced and well trained English speaking Tour Escort/ Mountain Guides. Cook and helper during the trek
  • One time entrances to the monuments and permit changes for the trek as per the itinerary. Camping fee are charged by respective state/regions.
  • Dinning and toilet tents during trek
  • Accommodation, transportation and all meals for trek guide, cook helper and porters along with their insurance for the tour/ trek.
  • Camping staff, kitchen staff and trek guide with porters will bring their own personal clothing’s for the trek.
  • All currently applicable taxes
  • All current Government taxes are included in the above price, which are subject to change without any notice.
  • One bottle of mineral water per person on arrival in Delhi and one bottle per person per day during the visits and long drives. however boiled water can be provieded during trek on request

  • Accommodation and meals in Haridwar and Rishikesh

  • Additional tours and sightseeing or stay which is not mentioned in the itinerary.

Fixed Departure:

Fixes Departure Tours are subject to operate minimum 4 People travel together.

General Conditions:

  • The prices are on Per Person basis, Nett & Non Commission-able.
  • Upon confirmation of the booking we would require 50% of the total invoice and the balance amount can be paid 60 days prior to the date of arrival.
