Kerala Bike Tour

Kerala, a narrow Indian state sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and the mountainous Western Ghats, is known for its tropical greenery, backwaters, wildlife reserves, tea and spice plantations. Along the way you will be staying at beautiful heritage hotels, eco-lodges and spend a night on a rice barge converted to a luxurious accommodation.

Day 1: Kochi
Arrive at the coastal city of Cochin. We will check into a heritage hotel in the heart of Fort Kochi of winding roads and ancient buildings. This is a day to relax and catch up with the culture of this historical city.

Day 2: Marari Beach
We will cycle through the back roads through tiny fishing hamlets to a secluded beach near the Arthungal village and settle into a comfortable resort by the beach.

Day 3: Marari Beach
Today is a chance to explore this village and its myriad traditional crafts like coir making. We can also join in the fishermen while they take the wooden kettuvalloms to the sea for fishing.

Day 4: Alleppey
Backwaters are unique to Kerala and we will cycle short distance to Alleppey – the old spice trading centre – to board the legendary rice boats for a cruise around the beautiful waters and stay overnight.

Day 5 & 6: Pulincunnu
Once again we will get onto the villages of interior Kerala, beautiful, quiet and rustic and friendly as we cycle along backwaters, country roads to the Pulincunnu. We will spend the night at a resort.

Day 7 & 8: Kollam
Following the coastal roads and back roads, once again we will follow the route South inlay reaching Kollam to the beautiful eco lodge where we will spend the next 2 days.

Day 9 & 10: Varkala
We ride today to our last destination along the Kerala cost to the charming beach town at Varkala & stay at a beach resort within a short walk from the beach. The next 2 days we can explore the area round the beach.

Day 11: Varkala - Trivandrum
Day at leisure. Later transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
