Pindari Glacier Trek Garhwal Himalaya
Pindari glacier is located in Pindar valley, in Kumaun Himalaya. It is lies between the Nanda Devi and Nandakot Peaks at an altitude of 3627 mt. The Pindar Glacier is about 3 kilometers long and is fed by the South-Western slope of the Outer wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. River Pindar, one of the main tributaries of the River Alaknanda , originates from this glacier The trekking route runs along the southern wilderness of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary and is bordered by beautiful landscapes and breathtaking views of heights like Panwali Dhar (6683m) and Maiktoli (6803m). Places on the way of this tour are Almora, Kausani, Binsar, Song, Dhakuri, Khati, Phurkia, Dwali, Shitalakhet.
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Met upon arrival at Delhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Almora
Drive to reach Almore which is one the the larger town of Kumaon region. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3: Almora - Kausani - Binsar
Drive to Binsar via Kausani. On arrival and check into Tourist Bungalow / tented camp for overnight stay.
Day 4: Binsar - Song
Drive to reach Song which is a small picturesque village by covering approx 140 kms in 04 to 05 hrs.
Day 5: Song - Dhakuri
Trek to reach Dhakuri by crossing Dhakuri Pass (2800 mt). Trek leads through very steep and dense forest. Dhakuri has a beautiful Meadow.
Day 6: Dhakuri - Khati
Morning after breakfast start trekking (8 km) to reach Dwali. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 7: Khati - Phurkia
Morning after breakfast start trekking (16 km) to reach Phurkia. Today's trek is short and an easy one. Arrive Phurkia and overnight stay in tents.
Day 8: Phurkia - Pindari Glacier - Phurkia
Morning after breakfast start trekking (14 km) to reach Pindari Glacier which is also called as Zero Point. After lunch trek down to reach Phurkia. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 9: Phurkia - Dwali
Morning after breakfast start trekking (5 km) to reach Dwali. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 10: Dwali - Dhakuri
Morning after breakfast start trekking (20 km) to reach Dhakuri. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 11: Dhakuri - Song
Morning after breakfast start trekking (14 km) to reach the road head, Song. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 12: Song - Sitlakhet
Morning after breakfast drive (140 km) to reach Sitlakhet. Arrive and overnight stay in Tourist Bungalow/Hotel.
Day 13: Sitlakhet - Delhi
Morning after breakfast drive (387 km) to reach Delhi. Arrive and checkinto hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Depart Delhi
Optional sightseeing of Delhi. Later departure transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination.
