The Uttarey Singalila trek in Sikkim is said to cover the political boundary between Nepal and Sikkim.This trek has a barren landscape, which is devoid of many trees and boasts of steep and rocky hills. The grassy meadow of Singalila adds delight to trekking at Singalila. It offers majestic view of the Sikkim and Nepal Himalayas including king of mountains Kanchenjunga. The trek offer the various mountain peaks, lush green valleys, fast flowing rivers, beautiful monasteries and terraced hills. Sikkim offers its visitors a rare and exotic experience.
Day 1: Arrive - Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Morning flight to Bagdogra. Met on arrival and transfer to Darjeeling (90 km). Darjeeling is known as "Queen of Hills' and famous tea state of India. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling
Very early morning proceed for excursion to Tiger Hill to witness the Sun rise over Mt. Kanchenjunga Range of mountains. Return to Darjeeling visiting Ghoom Monastery enroute. Enjoy Toy Train ride (now a World Heritage entity). Afternoon sightseeing of Darjeeling. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4: Darjeeling - Uttery
Drive to Utteray, which takes 6-7hrs approximately. Uttarey is famous for its tranquility and natural beauty. Overnight stay at a hotel or lodge.
Day 5: Uttery - Chewabhanjyang
Trek to Chewabhanjang(3144 mt). Today route passes through the good trail and dense rhododendron forest. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 6: Chewabhanjang - Dhor
Trek to Dhor(3750 m)Start with a steep climb through the rhododendron forest, the path leads leads between Nepal and Sikkim with panaromic views . Finally one comes across several high altitude lake formations where we can stay in the night at camp.
Day 7: Dhor - Sikkim Megu
Early morning after breakfast Trek to Sikkim Megu(3900m).Route passes through spectacular views on both sides of ridge with rare species of rhododendron. in bloom, and beautiful mountain peaks.
Day 8: Sikkim Megu - Dafey Bhir
Trek to Dafey bhir (4100m).Start with gradual climb and follow a wide valley towards the east.Overnight at camp.
Day 9: Dafey Bhir - Gomathang
Trek to Gomathang(3750 m).Trek start with easy tril leads to a high mountain pass and walk down to the valley through the pine and juniper forest, trek also offer spectacular views of high mountains of Sikkim ,including Kanchenjunga .Overnight at camp.
Day 10: Gomathang - Panding
Trek to Panding (4200 mt) through the rhododendron forest. After Yangshep (3900 m) we follow a steep path up to Panding.Overnight at camp.
Day 11 Panding - Dzongri
Trek to Dzongri(4020m).After descend till at a river in Bikbari we cross on a plank bridge. Then we start the climb to Dzongri pass and descend till camp side. Overnight at camp.
Day 12 Dzongri - Tsoka
Trek to Tsoka(3049m).Descend route passes through vegetation change to stunted bushes of juniper and rhododendrons.Tsoka is small tibiten village where we can see small tea stalls by locals.Overnight at camp or at lodges.
Day 13: Tsoka - Yuksum
Trek down to Yuksum(1780m) via Bakhim. (End of Trekking).
Day 14: Yuksum - Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok (1810 m). The present day capital of Sikkim.
Day 15: Gangtok
Excursion to Rumtek Monastery. Afternoon sightseeing of Gangtok. Visit Tibetology Research Institute, Orchid Sanctuary, Do-drul Chorten and Enchhey Monastery.
Day 16: Gangtok - Bagdogra - Delhi
Transfer to Bagdogra airport. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 17: Depart Delhi
Transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination.
